Just finished Homer's Odyssey by Gwen Cooper. A true story of a stray cat who loses his eyes when he's only a tiny kitten. The vet tries to find him a home but nobody seems to want to adopt a blind kitten. Eventually Gwen Cooper, who already has two adopted cats, adopts him and Homer turns out to be this amazing bundle of joy and energy. An inspiring and uplifting story.

I've been thinking of you all lately, as I am reading "The Count of Montecristo"... ;D And I'm asking myself how Wildhorn could summarize such a plot in a 2-hours show. Seriously, there so much going on even for minor characters that the 13 tracks of the cd seem veeery few.

Seriously, there so much going on even for minor characters that the 13 tracks of the cd seem veeery few. Well there are more tracks on the show, obviously lol (Actually my favourite song after Story Told is not on the show - Zu viel ist nie genug). As for the summarize...well, they focus the show on the main characters only and made some changes based on the Hollywood film. All the intricate things in the book are obviously gone. As in 97% of Wildhorn shows, the script needs improvement. All the characters apart from Dantès and Mercedes are underdeveloped. Still the show has 2 hours. With some cuts here and there ("When love is true" and "Raise a glass" take too long and could be cut and shortened respectively. The Dance the Tarantella is another pointless song which is only there to fill the "prostitutes-song-quota" in the show ;D

I've been thinking of you all lately, as I am reading "The Count of Montecristo"... ;D I'm finished!! I loved the book, the plot and most of the characters (apart from the bad guys, obviously) At some points I felt there were some parts that could have been cut out of the book... But in the end it came up that everything belonged there, and that you couldn't cut a single character or chapter...
