I have been taking by the blog-mania. Since I can't keep updating one, I opened a second one solely dedicated to musicals... Here's the link: www.zwischenhimmelunderde.splinder.comYou can go and visit, though I am writing mainly in Italian again. (I am thinking about posting in two languages, but then I am too lazy to do so... ) I didn't noticed this until Brae bumped this thread but I'm quite enjoying reading it. It's also good to refresh and brush up on my italian ;D

All right, so I wanted to indulge my silly geekiness and my adoration of the character Alfred in Tanz der Vampire, and to test out a new blogging site... The result is a blog wholly devoted to Alfred, on Tumblr! foralfred.tumblr.com/ ;D There will be text entries of varying degrees of seriouesness and intelligence; reviews; photos; videos; and whatever else occurs to me. Because Alfred needs more love! If anyone else is on Tumblr, let me know, I need more people to follow! Maybe eventually I'll start blogs for other things, too, if I like the site enough.

Hey, y'all! My name is Musical Theatre Encyclopedia, though you all know me by a different name. Now, now, I know what you want to know, and I won't tell you who I am. My blog is totally anonymous, and I moved it the last time I (stupidly) told someone it was mine. I just wanted someplace where I could express myself freely without risking anyone's anger. The last time I posted something non-anonymously, my mother saw it and demanded I take it down. I can't even talk about the s*** that goes on in my life to the people who are involved, and I can't put it on Facebook/MySpace/etc, so I made an anonymous blog. It might interest you to know that I was inspired to start blogging when I recieved a copy of Julie & Julia for my birthday. I do not nearly blog everyday, but I used to. I should update more, and I now resolve to. So, please read, subscribe, comment, and spread the link to anyone you think might be interested to read about the life of an aspiring young actress. musicaltheatreencyclopedia.wordpress.com/Thanks!

Hi all, I've recently started a public blog on European musicals. It's located here: musicalshades.wordpress.com/It's intended to provide news and other information and occasional commentary on European musicals to anyone who is interested in such content in English. I started it partly because there's otherwise rather little up-to-date information on various European productions in English, unless you follow several communities and forums. I started it a while ago and there aren't many entries yet because I've been fiddling around with the layout and links and such things, but I'm going to try to keep it up regularly - and hopefully posting the link into different places will encourage me to do so because I know people might be reading. I'll definitely be writing new posts in the coming days. I hope some of you will find it interesting and useful!

Interesting! Btw Valancy, just some additional info: the english version of Rebecca will have book adaptation by Christopher Hampton and lyrics by Michael Kunze (Christopher doesn't do lyrics.)

Really? What's your source on that? When I re-checked the sources (I think I was sleepy when I wrote that post) I did notice they named Kunze and Hampton as co-authors of the English adaptation, so I edited that in, but I didn't notice any of them saying they'd have such a division of tasks. But I haven't been keeping up much with the West End production - English productions will not be my priority, though I may mention them on occasion when there's something big enough to mention.

Christopher Hampton is a bookwriter If you check is other works (Dracula, Sunset Boulevard for example) he's always the bookwriter and Don Black the lyricist. There are no records of lyrics by Christopher Hampton. In the case of Rebecca, Kunze said in his dialog more than once that he's working on the english version so I think it is safe to say it. Christopher input in the lyrics if any is just to tell Kunze what makes sence in english and what doesn't since Kunze isn't a native speaker. (Btw, don't know if you saw the MusicalPlusz facebook page, but they posted the videos of the Concert with Susan singing the "new" english lyrics. You'll see Kunze's english all over them. If you have heard/read the original english lyrics for Tanz der Vampire Kunze wrote you'll see it quite clear )
