I heard a rumor that Mason might be playing Beatrice. Heard it too. If she gets the role of Beatrice she'll understudy Danvers anyway. So either way, she'll play Danvers I just fear they cast a worse actress as Danvers than her.

Honestly when I saw the headline, I immediately thought they cast him as Maxim, until I read the article.

Lol, James Barbour is really not that wonderful. There are plenty of others out there.

I'm currently assisting the producers of the Broadway production of Rebecca...sat through all of auditions and callbacks with the creative team. Thought maybe I could maybe help the rumor mill a little from what I get to hear in the office. Also, a little promotion: Our new official FB page: www.facebook.com/pages/Rebecca-the-Musical/289891344378951Our new official Twitter: twitter.com/rebeccamusical

Tam Mutu was in the London production of LOVE NEVER DIES where he understudied the role of the Phantom. I saw both Ramin Karimloo and Tam in the role and I thought Mutu was a lot better. Great voice!

I've liked Tam since he was in Les Mis (covering Enjolras) years ago, but I absolutely didn't see this one coming. I'm pretty excited for him, though it'll be interesting to see how he plays out in an 'older' role (no matter what ALW said, the Phantom in LND was played much younger than in the original.) As usual, looking forward to finding out who the understudies are...!

Cast list edited: Howard McGillin will take the role of Frank Crawley instead of John Dossett.

Hmmm... the writer of that article/interview keeps referring to Boggess's role in REBECCA as 'the title role'...

LOL Well, he couldn't put a name on the character could he? ;D Depending on the performances Sierra may have the "title role" or not. In Vienna the "title role" was meant to be Uwe and then Susan overpowered him and turned Danvers into the "title role". I'm curious to see how Sierra will compete with Karen in that department. (I doubt Mututu will turn any lights on him)

Yeah, it's kinda odd...but I guess he assumed everyone knew Rebecca is dead? Or then he simply didn't do his homework before the interview (which would explain the constant questions around Phantom of the Opera, something that Sierra has already done and won't be doing again in a foreseeable future...)
