Epilogue Behind the screen, when Manderley's ruins appear we see the entire Cast (except Maxim) standing there just like the shadows were in the beggining of the show. Though this time, the shadows have a face. The face of all those who knew Manderley. All those who were part of Ich's past. Just out of curiosity: is Mrs. Danvers there on stage with the 'shadows' in the final scene too? Nop. Neither her nor Maxim. Maxim appears later but Danvers only returns to stage in the applause. But now that I think of it...since the shadows represent "Ich"'s memories...Danvers should be there too. Why she isn't I dunno...

I'm assuming that at this point (at the end of the show) she ("Ich") wants let go of all the bad thing that had happened and that's why Mrs Danvers (and Favell?) are not there...

Mrs. Danvers was really just the instrument of Rebecca's continuing control over Manderley and its inhabitants. When she burns down the house, she fills her purpose by preventing "Ich" from taking Rebecca's place. She's no longer necessary and is consumed by the fire. Since she was just an extension of Rebecca after Rebecca's death, Rebecca's shadow consumes hers and she no longer exists.
If one wants a more simplistic reason, it could just be that Mrs. Danvers is dead. Favell is too busy worrying about catching cancer from Rebecca to be dead.
