Makes me wonder what ticket sales for this play will be like, and WHAT kind of audience will show up.

Equus is a phenomenal and ground breaking play so it will attract the theatre-goers. If their parents are intelligent then you won't have to worry about children being corrupted because they shouldn't be there in the first place. Yes there will be some immature teenagers but plays need big names. This is going to, hopefully, attract a new audience who will continue to see plays.

so.. it's finally opened. pictures of his butt have been released - it's only a matter of time before ... other pictures fly onto the internet.
i bet that theatre is the most strict for camera's. - but it's still always hard to tell who's got one.

Agreed with Nene. What bothers me the most is that Equus is a really touching, meaningful and intelligent play and now there's a danger of most of the attention being focused on... well, Harry Potter naked. Because the play has so much more than that.
Corrupting teenagers? I don't think so. I was 17 when I read that play at school, and it was one of the most educating experiences I ever did have at school. And I suppose some time in your teens is a good age for starting getting used to the idea that people have something beneath their clothes, if you haven't yet got used to that. Responsible parents will look into whether their children are yet at a stage at which they should be allowed to see such a play.

Back in my High School Days, we weren't allowed to read "Eqqus"(nor "Amadeus" which both is written by Peter Schaffer respectively). Our crazy Theatre Teacher made an excuse saying "its the language" . I mean we are mature ennough to go into that level of reading(we see nudity and cursing on the Media in our everyday lives). Thankfully, I've rented both of those plays in the library and loved both, but that was a long time ago.
