Did anyone catch this on BBC1 last night? I saw the excerpts from Wicked, Avenue Q, Spamalot and The Sound of Music.....they were all great! Although Idina's voice was *really* cracky and hoarse, I thought. Any opinions?

Apparently she had a cold. I don't know why but everytime Idina does a TV appearance singing Defying Gravity she always seems to have a problem. I also heard she hates heights. Which isn't a good thing for that role. Anyhow I loved the whole show. And also my Mum now wants to go see Avenue Q, lol.

Avenue Q was brilliant!!! The actors are really talented, being able to control the puppets and everything! And yes, to be honest I think Idina has ruined her voice....it might just've been a cold and, to be fair, my friend saw her and said she was outstanding....but...I dunno....I've seen 3 TV performances now and, in my opinion, none of them were as amazing as she's made out to be.

Wow, the whole Wicked performance came across as bad - bad mixing, Idina's voice being shot, awful camera angles during Defying Gravity, just not a good way to go.
Spamalot and AveQ looked great, and I loved the bit with Lucy hitting on Charles. Also nice to see someone in the cast of Torchwood doing something decent. =P

I thought he done the opening number really well. Although I think they could have picked a more upbeat song to show off Johns Voice.
