Just saw the movie. Loved it. I could have it extended a bit more (well lets hope perhaps the DVD has some extra stuff) and I really miss the Battle in the Castle, but then again the entire movie is so...smooth...that having a battle would probably come completly out of "context". Plus, since in the 7th book the final battle between Harry and Voldmort takes place in the Castle I guess they decided to postpone the huge Castle Batle for the last movie. And it was really funny...I had never laughed so much in a HP movie...
Highlights to me: - Alan as Snape...the man is a genious. - Tom as Draco. His performance is sooo good that made me think it's a shame JKR didn't gave the character more scenes. I felt Draco has much more of a "soul" than Harry actually...'cause after all the one in real real danger is Potter... - Daniel as Potter. Equus made him good, his acting is much more rich. AND he was really funny specially in the scenes following the drinking of the Felix Felicis. - Pretty Girl as Looney Lovegood & Other pretty girl as Lavander. I couldn't help but thinking that Lavander was actually prettier than Hermione...why would Ron leave her??? Also Romilda Vane was really pretty...and the feeling I got from the book is that she was one of those short-fat-girl-that-thinks-the-pretty-guy-will-ever-date-her kind of girls... - Rupert as Ron. The "kid" has comedy in him. I think he'll do great in comedy films after the HP movies are over. Also the girl playing Pansy was really pretty. A nice choice for Draco's girlfriend.
Down points: - Narcissa Malfoy. She's NOTHING like I imagined her to be. Plus that hair...what's up with that? She's suposed to be BLONDE...not have half the hair black half blonde... - Dumbledore. For the movie where he dies I was hoping him to have a bit more influence during the all film...

I've seen it yesterday. It's EPIC! EPIC fails to describe the final film. I could not look away from the screen for a second. Absolutely brilliant! Highlights (many of these also were my favorite moments in the book) SPOILER WARNING -Everything that has to do with Snape. Ms. Rowling wrote a fantastic character, and Alan Rickman plays him flawlessly. His memories of Lily were absolutely heartwrenching and so well portrayed in the film. -Molly's dueling and killing Bellatrix. They kept the line!! The auditorium I was in burst into applause once she said it. -The Malfoys. The way the three of them were redeemed was very satisfying to me when I first read the book. Though the film strayed a little from the book here, Draco still showed that he wasn't concerned with supporting the Death Eaters, and Lucius and Narcissa still showed that they only really care about Draco's safety. I will hopefully be seeing this movie again very soon. EDITED to add: How could I forget Maggie Smith? Her portrayal of Professor McGonnagal was phenomenal! She only made me love that character more than I already did.

If Alan doesn't get an Oscar for that performance I'll crucio someone! -Molly's dueling and killing Bellatrix. They kept the line!! The auditorium I was in burst into applause once she said it. So did here! I had actually NEVER seen an auditorium applauding so many times! And I went to the première of all 8 films. I will hopefully be seeing this movie again very soon. EDITED to add: How could I forget Maggie Smith? Her portrayal of Professor McGonnagal was phenomenal! She only made me love that character more than I already did. So will I!...that is...as soon as I can get tickets! It's sold out! Everywhere! And Maggie was always brilliant. I'm glad they finally put her more on the spotlight...and I mean...her battle with Snape was badass! ;D

I'm still yet to see it a second time! I don't know when, but I'll definitely be seeing it at least two more times. They certainly saved the best (and most epic) movie for last. They finally learned how to properly adapt one of J.K.'s books to the screen. Good thing she served as a producer for DH Parts 1 & 2.
