I didn't know that it was already summer - we nearly got snow here today nearly? and you're sad? Wanna change? Today I had 35ºC over here, the wind was hot, the sun burned, I almost died with the bloody heat

Ok, now that I think about it, I'm glad I live in an alpine region - it has to be a very very hot summer that we get 30°C here (about one day a year ^^)

Well actually "Summer" here doesn't really start until June 21, but since school had ended until August, MY summer has begun.
All week we (in northern Ohio) have been between 60 and 75 F (about 16 to 24 C). Hopefully we get a little warmer as the season progresses, though.

I just bought a Kindle. For those of you who've never heard of it, it's Amazon's e-book reader.

The library system doesn't have Pippin on DVD, and we don't have a VCR at the moment.
Poopy.

Just watched Twilight (the movie) and I must say I was expecting it to be far far worse. Apart from the awfull way the role of Belle is written (or then it's the actress who pulls it of miserably) it was pretty watchable...

Boring, I didn't give a d**n about any character, no plot at all... Then, on the next day I read that it had won loads of awards. The possibilities are two: I don't understand anything about film making, or the awards were given thanks to teenagers' votes... ;

. The possibilities are two: I don't understand anything about film making, or the awards were given thanks to teenagers' votes... ; I think it's the latter. At least I've heard of Twilight fans campaigning a lot online to get people to vote for lots of awards for their favourites. There are a lot of them, so naturally it works. I haven't watched the movie, but from what I heard, it has slightly more of a plot than the book. Not that you need much for that. I found the book so awful and the characters so annoying I'm not going to bother wasting hours of my life in watching the film.

Well, if the book is worse than the movie, I'm not wasting my time trying to read it... Unless I want something really really light. Basicly the reason I watched the movie. It was either I would lose 2 hours of my day to see the movie or weeks to read the book. I went with the movie Movie-wise I've seen worse movies though. I don't know how Bella is written but the girl in the movie seemed to be having permanent convulsions...I actually was wishing that she would indeed get killed in the Ballet room. Her father was like a statue that eventually spoke, the thing with the native-americans is pretty vague and of course...VAMPIRES GLOW LIKE DIAMONDS IN SUNLIGHT? REALLY? I mean...I was hopping that he would look very old or putrid when at sunlight...but NOOO he had to glow and keep the "I'm a pretty boy" looks... Another negative part of the movie...I couldn't stop for once thinking Bella looked like a twin sister of Hermione Granger without the brain and that Edward...well isn't obviously Edward but Cedric Diggory who came from the dead with bad hair ;D

Bella, not Belle. Please don't mix up that brainless twit with my favourite Disney heroine's name!
The whole "vampires glitter in sunlight!" thing is what Twilight haters poke the most fun at (in addition to the fact that the oh-so-great love between Edward and Bella is based on nothing but him being good-looking and her smelling good).

Ups, corrected.
Well no wonder, the simple idea of a vampire glowing is ridiculous LOL That love affair is also pretty stupid but normaly they all are (I mean WHY exactly does Romeo love Juliet and vice versa?)
