I only managed to see it once (on Opening Day, since my family usually does the Christmas get together on Boxing Day). I tried to see it again a couple of times, but the weather always cancelled those plans for me. Can't wait to see it on Blu-Ray I am looking forward to seeing if my thoughts on anything has changed.

I spent the whole film pointing out people from various casts, a couple of people I've met and getting annoyed at very minor lyrical changes.. "the winter is coming on fast ready to kill" is now "the PLAGUE...." no need!

What annoyed me was the added bits that were just plain awkward when sung. Like when Javert presents himself to the Mayor (Valjean).

If you don't mind me saying so, you don't seem really excited about Les Miserables? How come? Don't mean to be rude, was just wondering...

I enjoyed the movie for the most part. I just didn't like what I have mentioned, the awkward sung lines, for example. I am not a fan of Russel Crowe's Javert either. I do like Les Miserables, in fact I actually bought the BluRay combo pack (I only own a DVD player, but now I have the BluRay for when I buy a player). I also bought it brand new on the day it came out. For the most part I buy my movies used, which means I usually have to wait a while.

I haven't as of yet gotten the dvd but will most likely get it from the libarry and then since it's a musical and there's hardly any spoken lines, I'll get someone who I know can rip the audio from the dvd. No, I do not give this copy to anyone but me. So, you own the deluxe soundtrack? Waht do you think of it? I've read mixed reviews and some people are rather hrd on this soundtrack.

Musicals can be "sung through" like Les Mis, or they can have regular spoken dialogue (called a "book"). I own the deluxe soundtrack, it's okay. But I much perfer the Complete Symphonic, or the 10th or 25th Anniversary recordings.

Sorry, I can't. Doing that is very illegal.
