Does anyone know any info on a recording of the Company revival or of the Les Mis one? And is the new Fantasticks recording any good? I don't know about Company Revival or Les Mis Revival recordings but I'll keep you informed on it .

Why is it so hard to find an affordable Sweeney Todd OBC recording?
The only ones I can find are over 100 dollars!

Why is it so hard to find an affordable Sweeney Todd OBC recording? The only ones I can find are over 100 dollars! For some reason, people are selling the Original Out Of Print Sondheim Collections for way too much money. I recommend some of the stores I listed in a different topic(not amazon, they're way too much), or check a used bookstore or CD Store.

I was just wondering if anyone has the Mamma Mia CD/DVD combo. Is the DVD worth pruchasing the set for? I already had multiple copies of the the Cast recording (original release and the Anniversary of the London Opening one)

The 1995 Broadway 'Company' CD is pretty good, nothing to compare it with though as its the only one I've got. Is there a Les Mis revival CD? There are so many versions in different languages already. Mind you the 'Complete Symphonic Recording' is more than complete now

Thanks, I'll have to check around my area and see if there are any used stores.

If you have a "Half-Priced Books"(its a store), in your area, then finding it is a piece of cake .

Does anyone know any info on a recording of the Company revival or of the Les Mis one? The revival of Company will be available through amazon on the 23 of January, I believe. If this will be your only recording you have of the show, I definitely would purchase an earlier recording of it. I saw this revival a while ago and it wasn't *that* impressive (especially Getting Married Today! That must be one of the hardest songs to sing audibly to an audience, and it was sang very, very poorly, in breif. Though mind that it was live and it can (probably will) be different on a recording. Really, I could barely make out -each-individual-word, and if you can't hear that, then the song becomes a little less of a 'splendor') Bits and pieces were good, however (especially Raul Esparza's performance and the song You Could Drive a Person Crazy), but IMO, they can't cover up over everything that wasn't brilliant, which makes it better to get out an older cast. Collectively, I thought it was very weak (maybe I just don't like the score) and it's almost too unimportant to be worth considering while there are so many new recordings and CDs coming out at this time. If you already own a cast recording of the show (and really like it, I might add!) then absolutely go ahead and see for yourself here, (Raul actually portrayed Bobby fantasticly and would probably my catalyst in deciding whether or not to buy this) most people direct their opinions opposite of my own! lol...

Oh I have the OBC, and I have heard the 95 revival, so I am just buying the sake of hearing the difference (and especially Mr. Esparza.)
