Sorry, it's me again, but... www.vampirokbalja.com/index1.php On the Hírek (news) page, the background music is now Pásztor Ádám's Für Sarah. For those who want to hear the production's newest Alfred... Lovely! *listening to it non-stop now*

Thanks much for the link to the interview. It was very interesting to read! And Pásztor Ádám's Für Sarah sounds nice.

Glad you enjoyed! They've got some rather inventive ways of promoting the production. Now recently they've cooperated with a hotel in Budapest to create gorgeously decorated suites named the Krolock suite and the Herbert suite. See pictures of the rooms with vampires inside!
Those are just too lovely not to post.

Krolock's Suite is indeed gorgeous! Love the idea of putting them near mirrors and erasing their reflex! ;D
*Notetoself* If I manage to get there, book stay at the Soho Hotel*

Yes, the suites look fantastik. Already the first pictures in the newsletter did, but with vampires they´re even better. But unfortunately it´s too late for me. I´ve already booked my next stay elswhere.

I would love to stay there, but oh, I certainly don't want to know what it costs to stay there! Better I don't even find out. Some day when I'm rich(er), though...

Ladies, I'm very sorry to post off topic but I need your Magyar expertise. Would you know where I can find the lyrics of ALW's Tell Me On a Sunday in Hungarian? I could swear I've heard this sung somewhere before on youtube but I don't remember its Magyar title. If not the lyrics, perhaps the video I speak of... Also, Fine Line from Avenue Q in Hungarian would help as well. Thanks.

I don't know, I don't seek out ALW stuff in any language. www.zeneszoveg.hu has a lot of Hungarian lyrics for things, though, but I've no idea what the show or the song might be called in Hungarian. Am just back from Budapest. The production is as wonderful as ever and the actors keep on improving. A review will be coming. One night last week some of the Vienna cast of TdV were in Budapest to see the show. I was there that night, too, and judging from the great cheers and bursts of laughter from the balcony, the Viennese cast adored the show as well.

New show dates for summer just arrived with the newsletter:

Oh yes. I wonder why there are so few performance dates... It will make scheduling a trip very hard. *is not happy* I hope more will come up later - it's easier to add shows than cancel them if they're not sure yet how many they can do/sell, but I really wonder why there aren't any more. Anyway, there's a really cute picture gallery from the night I mentioned when the Viennese cast were seeing the show in Budapest. Pictures both from the end of the show/curtain calls and from the party afterwards. You get treated to sights like Marc Liebisch looking pretty in the Herbert suite in that hotel, and Alex di Capri in the Krolock one, and pictures of Viennese and Hungarian cast members posing side by side (in civilian clothes), e.g. two Alfreds, five Sarahs, five Magdas, three Krolocks, three Herberts. :-D I spent far too much time ogling at the picture of two Alfreds (Gyuri and Gernot Romic). ;-)

Does someone of you know a name of the new cast members?

The new vampires are so far ensemble members, plus Ádám Sólya seems to be listed as the Black Vampire in Carpe Noctem. I've never heard of any of them so I can't tell any opinions, but after June I hopefully can.

I hope that the new Black Vampire will be good - I'm supposed to get him for both of the shows that I'm (hopefully) seeing, and I've been really hoping for one that would be good. I'm not too fond of Túri Lajos - he can dance all right, no question of that, but he's smaller than their White Vampire, exactly how is that convincing? And I generally don't like his style. Alfred wouldn't dream of a Krolock like that. It's a bit of a downer in an otherwise magnificent production, when in the original version also all the dancers were the best ever. Here's the cast list for June, if anyone's interested: vampirok.psprodukcio.com/szereposztas.html They're doing so few performances it's mostly always the first cast. I'm still not wrapping my mind around how it's supposed to be profitable to do only two shows per week, when they'll still have to rent the theatre and pay for the advertisement campaign and all... I'm also surprised Tibor is getting so many performances as Alfred, since they've usually been more evenly divided, but I guess if he's coming there from Germany and they have so few shows, he needs to get a decent amount of shows to do anyway.

Yesterday was the premiere - I haven't seen it as I'm not in Budapest (yet) but that's why I have time to write here. Just a day before the premiere it was announced on the cast list that an entirely surprise name, Anna Török (in Hungarian Török Anna) was going to play Sarah, though she was not previously listed in the production at all. She has also been changed into the next few performances that were supposed to have Zsanett, the first cast Sarah. I understand Zsanett suddenly got sick so they needed a replacement quick and only could get an entirely new one because others are unavailable - and I heard that Anna only had about three days to practice! The reports I heard from the premiere so far are very good, they say she has a gorgeous voice and acted pretty well considering she had her premiere and had scarcely had any time to practice. So, very impressive! I can't wait until I (hopefully) see her as well. I saw her as Thea in Spring Awakening and she was good there, but it's such a small part it was hard to tell anything else but that she had a good voice and seemed like an expressive actress. Anyway, here you can see some pictures from yesterday's premiere: fotogaleri.hu/galeria+2183+_pesti_magyar_szinhaz-vampirok_valja.html Anna looks so beautiful! I think she might be most beautiful Sarah I've ever seen. Also, Tibor looks sooooo pretty and cute! I like his haircut now better than the floppy boyband-ish hair he used to have, this suits Alfred better. And Géza looks impressive as always. The reports I've had from the new Black Vampire are also positive.
