Interesting. Might pay it a visit if it's any good. Anyone got any dirt on it? And I was wondering what was moving into the palace.

Interesting. Might pay it a visit if it's any good. Anyone got any dirt on it? And I was wondering what was moving into the palace. I was at the press launch. The costumes are jaw dropping and the choreography's awesome, but they only did three songs (though they brought the Australian cast over to do them) and nothing from the book so I remain skeptical, especially in the face of the most expensive tickets in the West End (£20.75 for the vertigo-inducing balcony to £65 "regular" top ticket on weekends with £85/95 "premium" seats for weekday/weekend shows). And yes, it's a jukebox show.

I've heard mixed things about the show. This is either going to be phenomenal or horrendous. My fingers are crossed for the former.

I saw a bit of this on RND (Red Nose Day AKA Comic Relief) and it seemed kinda sucky...

I saw a bit of this on RND (Red Nose Day AKA Comic Relief) and it seemed kinda sucky... I thought it was very sucky - eye-searingly overlit, pointless book, songs that only fly if you were there the first time (the show is so overmic'ed that you won't understand the lyrics otherwise) and the fact that it's so disgustingly overhyped only made things worse. Not to mention the fact that 1/3 of the seats qualify as restricted view - discount or no.

I think I'll be giving this a miss then.
