Yeah, it is sad news. But still I'm glad it had a run of almost 3 years: when it opened it was only booking for 3 months ahead and for a while it looked like the show wouldn't run even for 6 months. So I'm really glad it has run as long as it has! Even so I wish some other shows would have closed earlier...

The sad thing about this is I was going to see Avenue Q and Wicked in August next year as part of my annual family holiday to the Capital. Now it looks as though I'm going to have to go and see it after Christmas (when the ultimate cast comes into the show) or not see it at all which would be a real shame.
I can see this show touring and I sincerely hope it does. Does anyone have any info or speculation about a tour?
By the way, I like the songs and the concept of this show but a huge section of the show I don't find funny. I think it is more clever than funny throughout.

Good news!!!! It's not closing after all! It will change the theatre, from Noel Coward to Gielgud and there will be a break in the performances, some months, but then the puppets will be back on stage in London! www.playbill.com/news/article/127073.html

The full cast are returning as well. Yay for a uni friend who's now got work for a few extra months!
