Andrew Lloyd Webber's masterpiece, "Sunset Boulevard" wich runed in the Watermill Theatre in Newbury will be transfered to the Comedy Theater in London's Went End. Kathryn Evans will take the lead as Norma Desmond, along side with Ben Goddard as Joe Gillis and Dave Willetts as Max von Mayerling.
I hope this production lasts long! (long enough to allow me to catch it at least ;D )

With SUNSET returning to the West End and the upcoming SISTER ACT musical, looks like I'm heading to London next summer...! It's just a bit sad that this isn't the original production of SB, I would have loved to see it. (Though I did see the Broadway production of it on the internet, as series of 10min clips, starring Elaine Paige.) But this is better than nothing!!! Who knows, maybe this one is even better than the original!

You can always wait for the end of the year and also see Phantom: Rubish sequel that never dies ;D As for Sunset, I would prefer to have seen the LA Cast with Glenn and Georg wich is, to me, by far, the best english cast

I'll be interested to hear Kathryn as Norma, as well if they made any changes to the show for the Watermill. (They butchered Martin Guerre previously - I don't know what made them think cutting "How Many Tears" was a good idea, but it wasn't.)

Sister Act the musical? Where have I been??? It has a score by Alan Menken. If I remember correctly...! As for SUNSET BOULEVARD, I'm not too sure about this 'actors playing the instruments as orchestra' thing with this particular musical.

Well, this one received quite good notices! Apparently a more intimate and scaled-down version suits this show! Let's see if we see this one transferring to Broadway.

Guess this one's doing quite well since they've extended the run the second time! Now 'til the end of Sep '09.
