And the Aldwych auditorium has a cosy and intimate feel to it. (Thought to someone as tall as 6'1'' (me!) the seat pitch was more or less a nightmare !)

(Un?)fortunately the word I'm hearing is that the RSC's Matilda will be taking the Aldwych. On the upside, the show got excellent reviews and word of mouth during its run in Stratford, but on the downside...it's not Rebecca.

MATILDA will go to the Cambridge, CHICAGO's current home in London.

ALW was at the London reading and he apparently liked the show very much so I don't think he would oppose it (not to mention that Kunze has worked with ALW before). But yes, there are not more Theatres available on the West End than on Broadway, so let's see what happens...I would rather have it opening on the West End honestly
