Small OT: If I HAD to cast a vip in a musical (something that actually I hate) I think I'd pick Robbie Williams or Michael Bublé. Though I have no idea of the best-suited role for them... Maybe something in a more poppy musical like "We will rock you" for Robbie Williams?

Robbie Williams in "we will rock you".... i've seen the show many(11) times and i seriously doubt he would fit into any role why??? galileo - a "young" teanage rebel - robbie aint that young, even though his voice could handle the songs pop - an ageing hippy - well it would be humerous, but i dont think it would work khashoggi - evil secret policeman - the one role he could possibly fit into, just about, but would he take the non-lead??? yea rite britney spears - "black" leader of the bohemians - a) would he wear a kilt . b) he isnt black, no racism intended, the role is designed for a black man, the joke of a big black man being britney spears is very entertaining on a side note, another reason for someone like robbie or anyone going into wwry is, brian mays personal policy on such things, he wants the show to be about the show, not about any specific performer or artist in it... rant over robbie williams is an excelent artiste, but not right for we will rock you

Christine: Christine Andreas To be honest, I'm not too sure about this. Christine Andreas to my ears is much more of a belter.

I'd agree, too. Christine isn't really a legit soprano, but she has a gorgeous mix she couldn't possibly use enough. It seems to have been just a rumor, but I would have loved for her to be Margaret on the Piazza tour -- not as much as Marin or Carolee (I'm extremely disappointed she's turned it down, though I can't fault her for wanting to be with her kids!), but pretty up there. I think her earthy tone would have really suited the role.

I personally cannot stand Christine Andreas's voice on the Scarlet Pimpernel OBC recording. But that doesn't have much to do in judging whether her voice is right for Christine or not. She definitely has a mixed-belt, and no, to my ears, she's not a "real" soprano.

I really liked Christine Andreas' voice on Scarlet but on the Oklahoma! 1979 Revival Cast Recording, she is as soaring as ever. Speaking of Oklahoma!, I wouldn't mind seeing Josephina Gabrielle as Christine too since we got a new Christine Jennifer Hope Wills, we might be seeing new ones in the fututre.

I definately don't like her on The Scarlet Pimpernel OBC. I've never heard Scarlett so I can't say. I really hope that she doesn't play Margaret in the LitP tour- you need someone with a soaring legit soprano.
