Figured I should start a thread in this category too... Is anyone going to see this production of Guys and Dolls? I think it's a brilliant piece of casting. Well, okay, I would love to see Ewan do anything, but I can definitely picture him as Sky. If anybody does see it once it opens, please post a review of it here!

Ewan in Guys and Dolls? Very interesting... I would LOVE to see that, but I know I probably wouldn't be able to. I haven't heard much on this though, so I'll definitely be looking into it.

I will be in London in August so maybe I´ll see it. If I do I let you all know. But there are sooo many productions I want to see and I don´t know anything about Guys and Dolls. What´s the story?

Hey Martijn, I definitely empathize, there are a lot of things I want to see in London right now (Billy Elliot!), and Guys and Dolls isn't really one of my favourites, but if I do go this summer, I would probably include it just because of Ewan. You can read the synopsis at my site if you want - www.theatre-musical.com/guysdolls/synopsis.html - it's basically about a bunch of gamblers, one of whom (Sky) makes a bet that he can get this Salvation Army girl to take a trip to Havana with him, where, of course, they end up falling in love. It's nothing intellectually challenging, but it is fun!

I even wanted him in the Phantom movie replcaing that dreaded Gerard Butler but Ewan was on a tight Scedule! Stacy, I wish Peter Gallager comes to London because he is my favourite Sky!

Stacy, I wish Peter Gallager comes to London because he is my favourite Sky! Yeah, it would have been great to see Peter in the part too! Or Anthony Warlow... I was actually hoping Ewan might do Raoul in the Phantom movie, but I'm perfectly happy with Patrick Wilson.

ack.. if Ewan did Raoul.. I would'a poop'd myself!!... Patrick is amazing though!.. amazing voice.. he's.. good looking! and yea.. did you know Antonio Banderas(sp) was going to be the phanotm.. but then Gerard Butler took it... he's got.. and OKAY voice.. I don't like ti all that much.. he can't pick a placement.. he goes from nose.. to throat.. then to like.. head voice.. and for some of you who dont know what... nose is--listen to.. popular.. she's nazel-y in that song.. and.. throat.. listen to anything chorla in The Lion King.. they're very far into their throats!... but yea.. Gerard Butler's good looking too.. it's a very good looking cast actually..

I would have liked seeing Ewan in the Raoul part Patrick Wilson is fine but I would have chosen another Phantom instead of Gerald Butler. I don't think he captured the essence of the character, but he was okay.
