Well in www.reallyuseful.com Simon Callow is the new Count Fosco, a part originated by the immortal Michael Crawford.

That is really hard for me to visualise, but I guess with Michael Ball that was a long stretch too!
I am hoping to go to New York next year so that I can see it!

I seriously am wishing that I'd get a chance to see WIW when it comes to Bway.
And to be honest, I can't care less regarding who plays Fosco. I seriously can't care less about this character to really even pay too much attention. I need a good Marian, a good Laura, a good Anne, and a good Walter, but I can pretty much take anybody as Fosco.

On the rumor mill according to www.playbill.com, Maria Friedman is Marian and Michael Ball is Fosco because Michael Crawford couldn't do it because of his concert tour and just recovered from a throat infection.
