Just a reminder to people in the UK. It's on tonight at 6.50pm and 9.25pm on BBC ONE. I missed the later one because I did not see your post. It was the Sydmonton one. Who are the ten remaining Maria's?

I *really* liked Briony, I could really picture her as Maria...however out of the people would left I would have to say Leanne...this girl is GOOD for having had no training whatsoever!

I've just got back in from watching the show in the studio today!!! Briony was in the audience It was good fun, have to watch the video of it to see what its like and how often I'm on camera I was sitting in the seats just in front of the panel (er which wasn't my intention)!!! I liked Leanne and Connie best out of the 10. I really don't see why Simona was in the final 10, her accent is too strong especially for a role that's not completely sung through and given the target family audience too. Its OK in Evita cos its sort of a casting plus that Elena is from Argentina. Although seeing the way she skipped off stage when she got through, she maybe has something there in her character that they liked (plus I missed last weeks programme). I am hoping that in the coming weeks they get to sing some songs from musicals, it would be a wasted opportunity otherwise to introduce a wider audience to show songs. You could mix show songs a lot of people are likely to have heard of with a couple they haven't. Tonight I thought that the songs didn't show whether or not they could sing in the vocal range required of Maria. Oh, btw, Ronan Keating wasn't exactly live in the results show! He did his bit just before the start of the main show earlier in the evening

Alot of them did say they that the songs for that night didn't show of the soprano. Which Is a pity. Cause I like to hear a couple of more songs from the musical. As for Ronan keating...Pshh!

I am sooooo glad Emily dropped out! She was very arrogant and really annoyed me...although I do feel that they should've brought Briony back instead of Siobhan but meh...that's my opinion. I still like Leanne, Connie is good too but she looks a LOT older than 23 =S. I actually didn't recognise most of the "Maria's" as the first few programmes focussed on only a few girls, which I was a bit annoyed about. Hopefully over the next few weeks we'll get to learn more about them. Oh...what I thought was sad...when Laura left they all sang "So Long, Farewell"! Talk about rubbing salt in the wound!

Still it is quite amusing to re-use such a sweet song to say goodbye! And at least they all know that its coming!
Its daft they said that Leanne looked too young when ALW said he was looking for someone young! And Maria in real life was 22 at the time.
How about Briony for Liesl? She's exactly the right age! I do hope they are helping her get some contacts to get auditions for stageschool or something.

But remember the make up department can change the age of a charecter on stage very quickly. Jean Valjeans a perfect example. He becomes many different ages through out les mis. Anyway: REMINDER TIME! We have a choice this week boys and girls will you join Simon Cowell for the X-Factor or will you remain loyal to Mr Lloyd Webber with how do you solve a problem.
Anyway heres the times:
Maria Saturday 19th August at 6.50pm and 9.25pm
X-Factor 18:50 Tonight ITV 1
