I'm off to London for a few days in October with my granny and, as well as seeing Phantom, we wanted to know what are the best touristy things to cram into our trip? We want to see as much as possible in our time...basically we have all day Sunday to sightsee then it's back home. Thanks! xxx

London eye. But you'll have to prebook your tickets at the officail website. Just google it.
Sighteeing tour bus. I recommend the "big bus tour company" They have a great route. You can find their stops all over the place.
Travalgar square. It ain't to far a away from Her majesty's theatre.
A boat trip down the thames.
Covent gardens. And if your into the history of British musical theatre. Visit the covent garden theatre museum. It's free admission and They have a lovely piano in there which your allowed play. I had a little bash on it myself. Played the music of the night. And I got an applause from surrounding people. lol
I think the houses of Parliment tour are closed for renovations. But you could ask when they reopen.
Harrods is a deffinate!
The Hard Rock Cafe London. You have to go there! It's located on park lane.
Hamiley's is great. Even I went there. They have lots and lots of toys and gadgets.
Oxford street if your the shopping type.
London Dungeon if you feel like urinating yourself. lol
*gasp* should I go on?

Definitely the London Eye! www.londoneye.com. If its 1/2 term then pre-booking is a good idea. If you don't pre-book then you will need to queue once to buy your tickets and then again to get on the Eye. Next to the Eye is the Aquarium if you like fish! Also for a boat trip, try taking the boat to Greenwich, have a look at the Cutty Sark etc and then get the Docklands Light Railway back to the city. Buses are cheaper than the tube and you get to see where you are going! You can pick up a bus route map fairly easily at the transport info booths at stations etc. Travelcard is worth it if you are doing several rides. Have a great time

It depends on what time of the year you go to the London eye. I remember when it was first opened. You couldn't get tickets for months in advance.

Aww we ended up not going to the eye ='[ But I had a great weekend anyway! On the Saturday we caught the bus to Oxford Street and went shopping...and we went to Dress Circle! OMG I LOVE IT! Then we walked to Trafalgar Square, Westminster and all the way to Buckingham Palace...my feet were really sore afterwards lol. Show at 7.30 =] (See review =P) On Sunday we got a taxi to the Tate Modern, we were planning to go on the new big slides...however we didn't know you had to queue for a ticket and the queue was miles long....to be honest I didn't like the Tate much and we didn't spend too much time there. But we did go to the Globe Theatre and had a tour around. The great thing was that the BBC were recording King Lear later that day so we got to watch the actors rehearse....it was actually rather funny watching them =] Then we had to get to King's Cross to catch the train home =[ I didn't realise there was a platform 9 3/4 there!!! I have a photo standing there hehe Journey home was the worst part....train from King's Cross to Newcastle, Newcastle to Edinburgh, a bus to Falkirk, train to Glasgow and then finally my dad took us home....terrible journey but it was SOOOOOO worth it...Phantom was AMAZING!!!!
