i know that orlando bloom is an actor, but a singer? at least he looks quite nice, i would like to see him. but london is far away. It's a play so he shouldn't be singing unless there's music incorporated in it. I've actually never heard of this play so I can't comment on whether this is a good move or a bad. It's great that he's getting on the stage but I've never felt he was the strongest actor. Maybe this will be a good experience for him.

i'm sorry for asking this, but why is there a PLAY on west end? i thought you can see only musicals there...?

That's the general misconception. Same with Broadway. West End and Broadway are not srictly Musicals. But Professional Theatres. One season a theatre may have a Musical in it, and the next a Play.

I'm interested to hear about it when he gets started. I mean, the man went to Guildhall! You don't get into Guildhall unless you're good.

It just the same as all the other theatre colleges. Except it has a really good reputations. My drama teacher said it's not easy to get into any Theatre College. She knows people who are 50 years old still auditioning to get into the guildhall and other schools. I think this is Brilliant by the way. I love Orlando's work!

I wanted to say something similar to this but I didn't want to sound rude while doing it. You covered it nicely. There are a lot of politics involved with getting into a conservatory. It doesn't matter how big or small or how well reputed a school is. People get in all the time who shouldn't and there are people with loads of talent who don't get in. And in regards to Orlando, I think he has potential, but I don't feel we've seen anything great from him. He more than likely got into Guildhall on showing potential and definatly on his looks. And no offense to anyone who is a big fan. I like Orlando too, but it's just how I've always felt.

Oops, forgive me for being ignorant. One of my friends is at Guildhall right now, and she and I had a small conversation about Orlando a couple years ago.
