Will start reading Twilight tonight. Lets hope it's not as bad as everyone says it is What?! Don't believe them. It's great..........if a bit cheesy at times in the dialogue. I'm currently reading Fablehaven: Grip of the Shadow Plague by Brandon Mull.

Will start reading Twilight tonight. Lets hope it's not as bad as everyone says it is What?! Don't believe them. It's great..........if a bit cheesy at times in the dialogue. I'm only on page 100 and something, but honestly with all the negative propaganda I was hoping it would be far worse. It's not very brain-y, and brainless sometimes, but I've read worse actually. It's a book to pass time basicly. (though I don't know how much did the translator fixed the writting though...it may have fixed it a lot)

Wait till you get to New Moon. That book was one giant snoozefest with lots of crying and whining.

Huh, if you've read worse than Twilight then don't tell me what, I don't want to ever touch those books, Twilight was bad enough. It seriously is the worst book I ever recall reading, and I haven't even been bold enough to go on to the sequels. Granted, through most of my life I've stayed away from both bad romance novels and bad vampire novels, so I don't know if everything in those genres is equally bad.
I've nothing against no-brainer fluff. It's just that even in no-brainer fluff, something should happen and the writing should be relatively painless to read. I absolutely can't fathom Twilight's popularity because to me it seems there's much better no-brainer fluff around. But clearly, I'm not in the target audience.
