use this thread to post any news of programs staring musical theatre performers on the TV, it can be anywhere in the world.
Here are some from me:
Pushing Daisies, ITV (UK)*, stars Kristin Chenworth (OBC, Glinda, Wicked) in the role of Olive, and Ellen Green (Little Shop of Horrors) in the role of Vivian. *This show is American, so it must be being shown there as well
Welsh in the West End, ITV (WALES ONLY), 6 episodes of interviews with welsh who have made it onto the west-end stage starting with John Owen Jones on Wednesday 23rd April, 10.30pm. Those outside Wales (but in the UK) should find it available on Sky somewhere in the 900's.
Torchwood, BBC Two(UK), the spin-off from Dr Who stars the fantastic John Barrowman as Captain Jack, and until the end of the 2nd series Naoko Mori (Original London Christmas Eve, Ave Q) as Tosh. (Series Two finished a few weeks ago, there will be a new one later this year)

Why did that stupid writers' strike have to happen?!

And another:
John Barrowman also hosts "The Kids are Alright" Saturday Evenings on BBC, and is a judge on the BBC series 'I'd Do Anything' which is finding a Nancy and Oliver for Cameron Macintosh's new west end production of Oliver, the other judges of that include Denise Van Outen, Barry Humpheries, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Macintosh

Pushing Daisies is great! Although ITV didn't show the episode with Kristin singing "Hopelessly devoted to you"....apparently losing the 2nd episode didn't affect continuity.

Another One: Ellijah Kelly from Hairspray was in Numb3rs. For those outside Wales with Sky you can add the channel but can not record from it. To do what I am doing you need a DVD player with AV connected to the Sky and the Sky must be on the right channel: www.stevelarkins.freeuk.com/itv_regions_sky_digibox.htmThat video of Kristin takes ages to load. I am watching Pushing Daisies too before Kenny told me that musical related people are in it.

Wow fun topic, ! Though sticking with the topic, why is every Broadway star in Law & Order? There's Jerry Orbach( ), Jesse L. Martin, B.D Wong....need I go on? Even the guest stars were on Broadway at this point such as Sandra Joseph.

It's mainly because the show films in New York City, whereas most film in Los Angeles, and there's always a need for guest roles.
