I started to colaborate with Filipe in JCS (though I just revised the lyrics there) and now I got the chance to do some of the songs. ;D I'll try to influence the next one to be staged (for the time beeing I can advance two possibilities: PotO and Rebecca )

UPDATE: Unfortunatly, due to some technical problems, the show won't be able to open on the 20th June as announced so the opening is postponed for the time being. Here's what happened: The sets that were design for the Portuguese production of Fiddler on the Roof are huge. If that wasn't a problem the sets changing mechanism is very complex and all the sets bilt and design don't change as smothly as we wanted them to. Therefore some of the sets needed some technical changes along with the hidraulic systems that need to be also changed and built in a way that the sets can work all together. As soon as we have a opening date I'll announce it Oh, and by the way, the portuguese production will have a Cast Recording. Further details will also be posted as soon the decisions are taken.

How do you say "break a leg" in Portuguese?? If I remember correctly in the Italian theatre they say "merda" (sh**) instead of "Buona fortuna" (good luck)

"break a leg" its "parte uma perna" though we use "merda" here too, the word is the same and the meaning is the same Thanks everyone! I'm leaving today to Porto for the premiere Gala, and for tomorrow premiere for the public, so I'll have some news by sunday/Monday By the way, the website it up, though we're still puting things in it

I'm back! To put you all aware on how things went: The Premiere Gala was a sucess, though since the premieres here are just "attendable" by invitation, you can't really see how the public would react...because the public was all friends, politicians and government folks, the so called "famous people" (who are famous here for doing absolutly nothing) etc... Now, the Public premiere that took place yesterday, that one yes!!!! The public bursted in a standing ovation that was a bit more than 10 minutes long. This exceeded a lot the expectations we had, but the public loved the show ;D The tickets for at least the next weeks are praticly sold out and people wich is something that make us proud! ;D So if anyone comes here on Summer holidays don't miss this Fiddler on the Roof, "Um Violino no Telhado"! (EDIT: By obvious reasons I won't post a review...Try to do a review of you're own show... ) The show will be runing in Porto for the next months and there's no precise date to come to Lisbon to Teatro Politeama, BUT the most probable is that it will come once Jesus Christ Superstar wents for its Tour in France.
