Ok Not that I really care for this series that much and have read 4 of the books. I have to disagree with you here. It's your duty as an actor to develop your character. Let it be a background character or an underwritten main role. You must develop it. A true actor works with what he or she is given. And if you can't deliver your portrayal well, then you've failed as an actor. Sad to say I totally love the books but agree with Death about the character thing. I've had some AWFUL scripts and turned my character into someone decent... you have to work your ass off... that's all. Very true, but there are times when even a great actor cannot save a part or the director pushes an actor for something they wouldn't normally do. I'm inclined to think it was a mixture of things with Oldman's work in the film.

My comment on this is that the trailers, get darker as the books. From the movies so far I like PoA the best, because of it's gothic setting and great score, I used to listen to the soundtrack for hours. I was most dissapointed with the second, while CoS is my favourite book, the movie was boring .

I got around to actually watching the trailer, and I like it a lot. It's dark and makes me interested in seeing the film. I think the focus on kid Voldemort is good, actually - it piques the interest of the audience by promising this is the film where we learn about how Voldemort became Voldemort. They can add other stuff in some trailer that will be released nearer to the release date.

Thanks. The premiere is in November if I don't remember wrong. I think they've usually had more than one trailer, so this is the first thing for grabbing attention with "ooh, we are going to find out how a creepy kid turned into a Dark Lord!" and then later there will be a trailer that has clips from various things, not just the Voldemort part of it...

I'm sure they've always had more than one trailer for the previous movies, too. At least I seem to remember so.

They'll probably release another trailer at the end of this month or beginning of September, showing more about the 3 main characters

this makes no sense to me. instead of releasing a FINISHED product and making money now, they're going to delay 6 months for what? the fans are gonna go see it whenever it's released, so, to quote DRS "give 'em what they want."

Well this makes no sense. It's Harry Potter, they're going to make money no matter when they release it. They're paranoid.

Paranoid and stupid. Yes, I admit it, I'm throwing a tantrum.
