According to this, there will be another Takarazuka "Elisabeth" revival in 2009. The Troupe will be the Moon Troupe again. I can't picture Sena Jun as Tod... I have a bad feeling about this as I thought the 2007 Snow Troupe with Mizu was going to be the last production of this show.

We have an Elisabeth, !She's an Otokoyaku actress from Cosmos Troupe who is moving to the Moon to play a female role. I was hoping for Kiriya Hiromu(Lucheni from the previous Moon production), to play the empress but this actress is really good. I'll add more news of casting and photo shoots as soon as it goes on full steam.

So basicly Takarazuka is going to definitly turn Death into a woman. I dunno what to feel about this...Its a pretty design, but it's turning the characters more and more like something that came out of a Anime rather than a believable character... I mean...what's up with those nails!! That's not even nails, they look like claws

Well at least Sena Jun sounds better tham Mizu or Asaji Her voice reminds me of Haruno... Elisabeth on the other hand seems to have a deeper voice than usual...not sure I like it...

This might be a more girly look for Death, but it's better than the shaggy Merlin look they had on the earlier actresses in the role. If they're going to make them look supernatural (and really, when has Takarazuka been a beacon of realism?), at least they should look good, which Sena does.
I'm not decided one way or the other on Sena's vocals. I do like the slightly deeper tone that the new Elisabeth has in the three or four seconds you can hear her singing, though. I'd be interested to hear her upper register.

A VIDEO JUST LEAKEDwww.tca-pictures.net/elisabeth2009/02.htmlEnjoy, EDITDVD pre-orders on June 5 and will be released August 5. There's also a box set including 3 DVDs. My guess for the 3rd disc is the alternative casting, The show however(as always), will be released on 2 Discs just like 2007.
