Gratuitous nudity in Tanz der Vampire? Good heavens, it's not even gratuitous - she's bathing, and who the heck bathes with her clothes on? And really, some people need to invest on a sense of humour. Also, I can never quite understand what is wrong with letting children know that sometimes people don't wear clothes and in that case they are naked. Especially since they're probably aware of it.
Although I don't see what's wrong with letting kids see Tanz der Vampire. Maybe if they're likely to be scared by vampires "attacking" the audience then it's better to wait until they're bigger, but I understands kids can find that musical great fun.

who the heck bathes with clothes on? Ned Flanders does (e.g. in The Simpsons' episode "Home Away From Homer") ;D And when I read that message I had a notion I'd come across exactly the man who'd inspired Matt Groening to create Ned Flanders. And really, some people need to invest on a sense of humour. Also, I can never quite understand what is wrong with letting children know that sometimes people don't wear clothes and in that case they are naked. My point, exactly. But some people prefer to let their kids alone playing videogames where they have to blow someone's head off for hours, instead of taking them to a theatre where they might see someone bathing naked. Some people have also been leading a "holy crusade" against Disney movies, accusing Disney to lead kids to satanism, orgies or both and much worse for ages - www.youtube.com/watch?v=CivLakTKFo4Although I don't see what's wrong with letting kids see Tanz der Vampire. Maybe if they're likely to be scared by vampires "attacking" the audience then it's better to wait until they're bigger That's what I meant. If a child is too small he/she might be scared of vampires. Maybe if they're likely to be scared by vampires "attacking" the audience then it's better to wait until they're bigger That's what I meant. If a child is too small he/she might be scared of vampires. On the other hand, many kids seem to adore vampires like they adore fairies and other fairytale creatures, and they are not scared at all. It depends on the kid, of course, but generally parents should know their own children well enough to know what they are able to watch on stage. And if the kids know that the vampires are only people in fancy dresses, they most probably find them simply fascinating. When I saw TdV in Hamburg, there was a family sitting in front of me. Their youngest daughter was about 5-year-old, and I noticed that the parents were a bit worried about her. During the break the mother asked her: "Do you like the show? Are you scared of the count?" The little girl looked like her mum would have been an idiot and answered: "Mum! He's so cool!" I totally cracked up, and so did the parents. ;D

The daughter of Carolin Fortenbacher (who created the rôle of Donna in Germany), when asked what her mum's job was, said her mum was running a Greek tavern on the Reeperbahn - which, given what the word "Reeperbahn" implies (not only for Germans, but also for tourists pilgrimaging to it from all over the world), caused more than a laughter.

YAY for the cast recording!!
Anyone know of anywhere else someone might order this? For me to get it from Sound of Music, it would be almost $40! A little much for a CD right now LOL.

I'm not sure if there's already been posted a link to a video of the Austrian production: But on the myspace-site of one of the actors there's a video of the show: www.myspace.com/matthiasbollwerk

Dress Circle will be carrying the disc - asked last time I popped in.
Also, could it be some of the worst CD cover art ever?

Has anyone got the CD yet?? I'm still waiting for it to appear in a local CD store where they normally also sell musical recordings. Was für ein verficktes Leben...
