The show "Naked Boys Singing" (Rapazes nus a Cantar) will premiere in Portugal in the Cine-Theater of the Estoril Casino on September 8th.
The show will be directed by Henrique Feist (MC in Cabaret and Toby in Sweeney Todd).
Rehearsals begin in Jully. This is first time an Off-Broadway show premieres in Portugal. I don't know the show to be honest, so I can't say if it's good or not. But then again my interest in naked men is zero...

The show will only run from September 8th (premiere) until 8 October from Tuesdays to Saturdays at 22:00 and Sundays at 17:00 at the CASINO ESTORIL in Cascais - Lisbon.
Many critics are questioning the "need" to produce such a musical and many sectors of the portuguese society are questioning the morality of such a musical, but the financial crisis of the Casino appears to be, for the producers, enough reason to stage it.
(Was this a hit off-broadway?? Did it got finacial succes? I really don't know...)
Anyway, the entrance is strickly prohibited to people under 18.

This show has been quite a success in New York. It's been running for about a decade. I'm not sure how non-stop the run has been, there may have been some hiatus (i.e. breaks) or venue changes during the run but as far as I know the possible breaks haven't been very long.

The show only runs 2 or 3 performances a week in New York and shares the venue with another production.
The London production's currently at its second home and has been running for a total of...three? four? months between the two, but also has a few comps going out at every performance.

I'm hoping that last sentance should be people OVER 18. The show has 3 performances per week in NY, Friday and Saturday at 10 pm and Saturdays at 6 pm.
