Sh-k-boom is FINALLY taking pre-orders for Book or Mormon cast recording. The digital release date is May 17th, the store date is sometime in June. However, the good part about sh-k-boom is that if you order from them, they ship the physical CD on the digital release date. Now if they would just announce the date of Catch Me If You CanMasterworks Broadway has the Wonderland cast recording streaming on their website www.masterworksbroadway.com/music/wonderlandThe street date for this CD is May 3rd. How to Succeed is due out June 7th. Baby, it's You is listed as June 14th. But I think that'll be out digitally earlier than that date.

The release date of the physical CD of Book of Mormon is June 7th And If like me you bought the 14th Season of South Park, you get access now to the track " Hello" from the CD, that opens the show. Question: sh-k-boom really ships the physical CD on the date of the digital release? It's weird, but if they do so indeed, I think I'll order the CD there! Wonderland is a really nice CD (way better than the Concept) although it doesn't really reflect the show playing on Broadway. Hail the Queen was completely rewritten on B'way while the version of the CD is a version of the last Tampa try-out (not the version that played there but similar). Heroes was also only on the last Tampa run but was stupidly cut on B'way. They also didn't used the real ensemble so the presence of ensemble chorus is reduced. The 2 versions of Home aren't in the show. There's only one version and it's a duet between Alice and Chloe (which is what makes the transition between Wonderland back to New York where Chloe is and where the Hatter goes to kidnap her)

Yes, sh-k-boom ships the physical CD the day of digital release, if not sooner. I had my Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown CD in my hands the day the digital went live. But realize, I live in NYC, so it ships pretty fast. I don't know if sh-k-boom ships outside the US/Canada.

amazon is now showing the mp3 version of Catch Me If You Can with a May 23rd release date. they also have their usual 30 second "previews" of the songs. However, sh-k-boom has not updated their website, and amazon is not showing a CD, only the mp3.

I will most likely post a review on it (although I've already heard it in the streaming lol) If they ship Catch Me If You Can in it's digital release date it will be even sooner than Book of Mormon 'cause the CD of Catch Me If You Can is only scheduled for an August release! I think I'll have to check sh-k-boom more times. (Although their shipping costs are a bit high...10$...it's almost another CD.)

amazon is now showing a Spider-man: Turn off the Dark CD. But nobody is sure if it's a concept CD or a cast recording, because it is only 14 tracks including a "single" version of one of the songs.

From what I read on Playbill it's the Cast Recording. A song, "Rise Above 1", was already released by Bono and The Edge. It's a nice song but has NOTHING to do with any piece of Theater one can think of. It's cool as a Bono song, it's awful as a showtune song.

1. according to an e-mail I got from globalvisions, yes, they are planning to release the CD of Dracula.
2. Sh-k-boom will be releasing an OCR of the new revival of Anything Goes.
3. psclassics is recording and releasing the recent off-broadway cast of A Minister's Wife starring Marc Kudish and Bobby Steggert.
4. Regarding the spider-man CD, it has the cast on it, but is NOT a cast recording. It does not have all the songs from the show, and the songs on it are not in the order they are in the show, and Bono and the Edge are singing on it. Also, while I cannot confirm this, it is supposedly the lyric versions from the original version, not the current retooled show opening next week.

Yes, meanwhile I got the e-mail too. The Spider-Man CD is already available for sale (not pre-order) on Amazon.de and Amazon.de MP3. Live-stream of the album here music.msn.com/music/listeningbooth/?icid=MUSIC1a>1=MUSIC1aHonestly, the CD reflects the show...it sucks. It's a good Bono CD but in NO WAY is this music or lyrics for a show... I honestly only enjoyed Rise Above 1 and 2.
