The Simple Life is over for Paris Hilton, but she has already lined up a juicy new role in the big-screen musical Repo! The Genetic Opera. Hilton is joining Alexa Vega and Paul Sorvino in the cast of Repo!, a musical thriller from Saw-makers Twisted Pictures and Lionsgate, according to Variety. The musical is set in 2056 and centers around a mysterious plague that threatens the survival of the human race. The film is being directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, who also helmed all three Saw films. Bousman said Hilton floored him when she auditioned. "I have auditioned at least 30 actresses for this role," he tells Variety. "Paris came in and owned it. She is this role." Producer Carl Mazzocone of Twisted Pictures adds: "We saw many actresses for the role, and Paris sang it better than all of them." tinyurl.com/2f497ySo.... yea...

"We saw many actresses for the role, and Paris sang it better than all of them." I don't want to know what the others sounded like... Still it will probably be hilarious.

See, this is what is wrong with Musical Movies. Paris Hilton is only famous because she has money, not talent. But they put her in it because it will bring a crowd.

It's just going to draw people who want to laugh at it. And it will fade out of history. There are plenty of movies that are like this.

I don't think you can even include this in the true musical movie category Zujin... I mean really the makers of Saw and Paris....that's not even close in talent to the worst of the worst musical movies.. and the worst of the worst are horribly bad
