Just out of curiosity... I translated the Essen production into English from the official Edition Butterfly book. How much interest would there be in an adaptation of that into the Vienna script? I'd time it all out and make it at least semi-singable to go with the DVD and post the translation when I was done. Wah~~~That's great. I always dream that one day we could sing it in English. I think the difference between the Essen and new Vienna production is not that great. Only the order of the songs in act II is different and some lines missing. And also you could use the timeline in my subtitle. Hope it will help.

I made a translation for the 92 Vienna version of Elisabeth some time ago (partially based on Stacy's translations), and the subtitles here seem to be partly based on it. I am constantly making improvements to my 92 translation, so I will really appreciate it if anyone can give me feedback on the translation quality of the 92 portions.
On the whole, I find some parts of the 05 translation and the changes made to the sinking ship scene rather confusing, but then again, I am not familiar with the 05 script...

Where is this English translation? (I'm sorry, I can't read Japanese and Babelfish won't translate the page)
Heh, could someone show me where the English translation is , or give a link? Is this the Vienna or Essen one?
Wow, I applaud anyone who translated this show!
Thank you!

Wow! I think we should make a fansubbing group in order to translate foreign, unlicensed, Theatre DVD's. Examples are the Takarazuka and 2004 Wien Elisabeth's.

Hey,
I was wondering if I could get the English subtitles for the 2005 DVD anywhere? The link in this post doesn´t work anymore.
Would appreciate it :-)))
Danke, Georg

Or could maybe someone send me the subtitles to my email address (m3allim@gmail.com)?
Much appreciated :-)
Also happy to give feedback on the subtitles.
Cheers, Georg

This forum looks quite dead, but I'm desperate at this point, so I'm gonna give it a shot anyways; is there another site where to get the subtitles from ? anyone has the file ? I bought the DVDs and thought I would easily find an srt file online for them but after hours of searching I haven't found anything... :c
