I had no idea he was working on Carmen. Or I just completely forgot, he is difficult to keep up with. www.broadwayworld.com/viewcolumn.cfm?colid=26867What is with him having workshops in New York and opening in Europe? Is he hoping that someone here will pick it up or does he workshop here for the producers in Europe ?

I have no idea either, but "Wildhorn works in misterious ways" Its like making the Concept of Cyrano in Spanish, or Count of Monte Cristo in German...though I think Wildhorn has gave up on Broadway...his works are more loved in Europe, I think he just keeps the workshops in NY because maybe its more confortable to him working "at home".

Well I know he's given up/been given up on in New York, but I just think it's odd for him to workshop out of New York for Europe. It's probably easier for him so that he doesn't have to travel as much, but it's still odd.

As for audio clips there is a 2 track demo in english floating around, but I never heard anything either. But it opens this October so lets see what happens.

There's already been a musical of Carmen. It was done at the La Jolla Playhouse in California. I'd like to hear more of Wildhorn's to compare the two.
