Well.. in responce to Milady's wishes.. This thread is completely for the adrmiration/not-so-much admiration of Harry Potter... [glow=red,2,300]SPOILER WARNING! [/glow]So... How many people here we're so suprised with -------'s death?(i'm leaving that blank for the ONLY time.. just incase someone open's it.) Also how many people were so suprised with the murderer? I was HORRIFIED with the death of our beloved character!.. I can't believe it would happen!.. and as for the murderer.. i wasn't as suprised.. but still shocked! ;D

Not my favourite book:( That's still Book 3, best of the series so far and best of the films too.
Not overly surprised at the murderer, but not convinced he's all bad!!! There's definitely something afoot there!
Can't wait for the next book. This book didn't quite have a contained plot like the other books probably because there is a lot to setup ready for the final showdown in book 7.

I can't believe who the HBP was. I mean I thought it would be Hagrid or something. And who do you think R.A.B is I think it's Sirius's little bro.

I guessed quite early who the Prince was. Funny, though, that in the end it didn't really matter at all, he just quickly said "yeah btw I'm the Half-Blood Prince" and that's it.
The ending shocked me quite a lot, but I sort of expected it. It was still sad. The book itself wasn't that good, though I really enjoyed the Pensieve parts. PoA is still my favourite.

I'm kind of partial to GOF myself. The new book seemed a little too short and not enough detail was given like in the other books.

i LOVED the book... but-- it's still nto my favourite-- I don't thin anything can beat GoF... but yea..
R.A.B is Regulus Black- J.K said it.. well.. didn't technically say it. but made "anvil-sized hints" that it was him... So... i even guessed that-- so.. yea.. i was super excited for it!
I was so suprised at Snape-- well--wait.. not that he killed Dumbledore-- but that he was the HBP..i didn't think it wouldn've been him!.. it would ahve been really cool if it was Lupin of something! ;D
I really enjoyed how J.K allowed us to see into Voldemort's past! it was so exciting-- it jus.. shows us how he got to be who he is!. it was trés le exciting! ;D
***and Zujin... it only took me 2 days.. because i kept getting hungry while i was reading-- AND, i was determined to read till like.. 4:30-ish(morning) but my mom barged in my room at 3:00 and was like "GO TO BED!!" so.. i was angry.. but then i finished it! so it was exciting***
Edit: WHAT DID YOU GUYS THINK OF RON'S LITTLE.. LOVE FLING WITH LAVENDER BROWN!?!
AND Harry & Ginny FINALLY hooked up YAY!.. the book made me laugh so hard everytime Harry had fights with his brain.. "no she's single, and open. but it's Ron's sister! but she's single! but it's Ron's SISTER!" *it made me giggle everywhere
ALSO.. who else was confused about Tonks & Lupin?? i certainly was!

Altogether I read it in about 6 or 7 hours. But I had to keep putting it down to go to work and that sort of thing (pesky work, too much of it & I get paid too little)
I was mad at how they killed him ... It wasn't the death that made me mad, it was HOW!

I finished at 1 am, approximately one day after I started.
The Tonks and Lupin thing made me laugh, since I had read of that relationship idea somewhere and thought it was rediculous at the time. Lavender/Ron was hilarious, though. "Won-Won." Haha.
Poor Dumbly. I wish that Snape was innocent and it was Dumbledore's idea, though I don't think that theory is correct, simply because I don't want Dumbledore to have been murdered- he should have died for the cause, in a fighting position.

I thought that J.K would kill Dumbledore in book 7-- saving Harry from Voldemort-- in battle.. it would be the only possibly way to kill him... does this mean Snape's more powerful than Voldemort-- since he COULD kill him.. and Voldey couldn't???

I think Voldemort never had a good chance to kill Dumbledore. Draco offered him to Snape like on a plate when he was already weak, Snape just had to say the words.
I think the Harry/Ginny thing was just stupid. Ok, if they had stayed together, it would have been more sensible, but Harry being a hero and quitting the whole affair was too much a clichè. I have nothing against Tonks and Lupin loving each other, though, it's just cute. All in all the book was a bit too romantic for me.

I felt that the Inferi spell thing was cool. This also, I think, hints that someone close to Harry is going to be raised as one in the last book. This book also sort of seemed to be an introduction into the next book where J.K got rid of all the pesky elements that would be hard to explain and get ready for the end.

I think that snape was told to kill dumblebore by dumbledore himself because of what wasn't written....... the word no in that whole exchange, it just didn't add up. snape argued with dumbledore about not being able to go through with something and dumbledore telling him that he had to, and also who here thinks that JKR would actually end Dumbledore's life with him begging for it, it's a very weak ending for such a strong character if that's the case so I believe that snape is still a double agent and that malfoy and harry will team up to destroy LV. This was my favorite book because it was just so impulsive at alot of points and was presented much more from Harry's perspective and less narrative than other books, it made Harry seem to go through all the same things we do, and btw final batlle between LV and Harry, I think it goes down on Privet drive, just my thoughts. but yeah this is my favorite book but #2 is GOF
