I wouldn't pay full price for a ticket... when I went I bought them for $20....Only pay full if they've fixed the tech. The tech was extremly over powering and took away from the acting and vocals. At the end of one of the acts they use so much smoke and the music is so loud that you can barely see the actors and barely hear them. Only the people who knew the story understood what was going on everyone else was confused. So if they've fixed that and made the elements of the show mix better then pay full for the ticket. If not I would wait for the cd because the music is beautiful but in the context of the show it's all just too much.

demon childThe tech was pretty crazy, But I loved it. The end of Act 1 is Gandalf at Kazuh-dum (sp) and the whole point is it is supposed to be loud and crazy lights/smoke. He's falling into the darkness - esentially hell. You don't really need to hear the actors, cause it's just a lot of "GANDALFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF" "STAY BACK! RAWWWWWWWWWWW" But I would honestly see the show.

I am glad you liked the link Brae and Stephen. I got it by subscribing to the newsletter from the official website. They sent me an e-mail and I leaped up and down. When I go to London I think I will still see Phantom though because I have wanted to for 10 years now. EDIT: I think we know who the two biggest fans of this musical are; Brae and Stephen.

Yes, I did see it twice...granted I would have seen it more, cause I onlyt spent $20 on tickets, BUT... Still, I'd see it many times if I had the opportunity.

If anyone watched Musicool on Sunday you could have seen the black riders and the stage. It looks ace. The stage is a circular turntable and they were riding up and down on it. Gandalf was chinese or something. It looks ace. Also I have seen Stephen's comments on that websie I gave you. Funny but true. Also they have uploaded Video 6: The Theatre.

A great series of backstage blogs from The Lord of the Rings rehearsals are now on lotr.com and will be updated regularly. They show the transformation of the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane into the magical world of Middle-earth as well as showing the skills needed to create the many and varied species that occupy this mythical land.
The Golden Lady of Lothlorien is also now revealed in the stunning form of Laura Michelle Kelly who will play Galadriel, Queen of the Elves.
