Half of me says: SQQQQQQQQQQQQQUUUEEEEEE!!!!
The other half says: Oh bloody hell why can't they cast new people?
Either way it's still exciting.
But wait, where on the page does it say that? I know I have terrible German but I don't see either name.

Here: www.labellemusical.de/auditions.html was the audition notice, and the auditions took place on 3/4th December... Maybe there are already rumors? (I didn't find anything official either )

Interesting. I wonder how this all will pan out. what do you mean? I mean, who ends up getting casted. If they're staying for the full tour, or parts. The overall reaction to the cast and the production itself, etc... basically I am curious as to how the production will be.

I had assumed they were looking for a year's contract for everyone. It makes more sense to me that they're having Pia and Uwe just in Berlin and switching out the leads for the actual tour. It'll be good hype for the tour, at least - they'll bring in an audience. I hope that lets the touring production hit the road on a good note.
I take it this means the Sunset tour is starting toward the end of 2008, then?

For heaven's sake, couldn't they have considered getting new people?
As much as I love Pia, I really think this musical could use some new faces and not just have Pia and Uwe playing the lead roles forever. I hope it's just that they get the big names to start the production with and then change to newer people on the tour. But still, I'm seriously disappointed, even if I may still consider taking the opportunity to see Pia live as Elisabeth... But theatre should not be about the same people playing the roles for decades. Other people are able to play them, too. Really.

Some Viennese friends of mine would like to see Susan Rigvava-Dumas as Elisabeth. And some German friends of mine would like to see Máté Kamarás as Death again. What do you say?
