All the gym class talk made me think...I hated gym, or PE as we call it, until S5. It was completely humiliating as I am not sporty AT ALL! However in S5 we were given an options form at the start of the year with loads of fun things...ie rounders, street dance, martial arts, heady handball etc. This was SO much better, and it got even better in 6th year. I don't know if it's because we were seniors we were treated with more respect but I wish PE had been like that all through school instead of for 2 years. It's compulsory all through school here btw, there was a change in the law a few years ago...do you all have to do it?

Its also what we call it here, and unfortunatly its also compulsory for everyone until you finnish High school. You are just able to get rid of it once you go to University.

Had to take PE for two semesters in high school and one semester in college. Didn't mind the semester I took it senior year of high school because the class I took was a well structured fitness class. That is what I think they should have as a requirement. I hated it when I took it initially in high school because it was pointless. As for college, what I took was more of a lecture than a PE. We were supposed to keep an exercise log outside of class (which I never did) and we had a couple days where we had to go to the recreation center (only went once). The entire concept of making people play sports is dumb in my book because it just ends up in a huge pointless mess.
