Wow 12th grade is quite specific in USA. I remember when I was on 12th grade I had more generic classes though inserted in one of four major courses: Science, Arts(like in paiting and drawing not Theater), Economics, Literature and Culture (the one I went too). As for College, I'll stay in the 3rd year of Law College to make some more classes wich will be: - Court Processual Law 1 and 2 - Family and Sucessions Law (like when you die and leave a Will etc...dunno the name in english) - General Civil Law Theory 2 - Obligations Law (a part of Civil Law...probably only someone in France or Italy will know that a Civil Code is ) - "Things" Law (another part of Civil Law...like laws that deal with objects and lands) I dunno if I'll have to take Legal Contracts since I've already got the credits so... And I'll maybe take Advances Legal Medicine since I love it this year! ;D So yeah...this is a reason I love Musicals...they have NOTHING whatsoever to do with Law...wich is pretty boring

Wow, that's really specific! I'm kind of in limbo at the moment...school finished in May & uni doesn't start until the end of September! I don't have my class schedule yet but I will post here when I do...I'm guessing it will be intro to vet nursing, animal husbandry, physiology etc

It's also my 12th (and last year) in school, but it's quite different here than in the US. We're not taking classes, all the subjects are obligatory. So the subjects I have are:
German, Maths, English, French, Latin, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History and Political Education, Russian, Physical Education, Music, Philosophy, Religious Education (including Ethics), Geography and Economics
I hope I haven't forgotten anything ^^

After the 3 year hiatus I had to take, I finished college this summer. But since we are talking about the entire school year, I am in the process of applying for the first of hopefully two Master degrees, which I hope to start in January.

I'm a 9th grader this year. Just started High School last week. Here's my schedule:
1: World History 1 2: Honors Biology 3: Theology (I go to a Catholic High School) 4: Lunch 5-6: Study Hall 7-8: Honors Algebra 2 9: Latin 1 10: Honors English 1
Note: Some classes span two periods because those are lunch periods for other students and are half as long as regular periods.
Great thread, Spencer!

I'm no longer in school. But when I was in Grade 12 (since someone brought up their past LOL), my courses where like this:
You'll see my first period classes both semesters where rough because they were right after a 1.5+ hour bus ride to even get to the school.
Semester 1 1st Period: Univeristy Intro Level Law 2nd Period: University Intro Level English 3rd Period: Lunch 4th Period: Musical Theatre Production (Open level) - basically got course credit for working on the musical 5th Period: Spare
2nd Semester 1st Period: University Intro Level Accounting 2nd Period: University Intro Level World Religions - yes I went to a Catholic High School, took this instead of the generic open level religion course. 3rd Period: University Intro Level Computer Sciences 4th Period: Lunch 5th Period: University Intro Level Drama

Well when I was on the 12th grade I had these sugjects (they were all anual) - History (both Portuguese and World's) - Advanced English (level 16...though it looked more like level 6 to me, since it was ridiculously easy) - Level 3 German - Advanced Portuguese - Introduction to Social and Economical Development - Introduction to Informatic Technology (another ridiculous chair wich at the end consisted in us at a computer playing some game or at the corner of the room dating lol) - Sports (we had to take it, otherwise I would have gladly skiped it) - Advanced Translation technics (german and english) and - Geography (wich ended in the 11th Grade but also counted to the College Access National Exams - Philosopy (wich I hated deeply. I hate philosophers...well...they need help also ended in the 11th) - Simple Maths (just 10th grade to torture one more year all of those that went to Literature to run from it lol) Oh those were the days...I didn't needed to open a single book to get great grades...*goes melancholic*

LOL I haven't heard 12th Grade since 2004-2005! As for college/life after HS...I don't feel like discussing here since all that is in the personal stem of me. Lately I've been thinking of applying myself for JET but I keep chickening out all the time but I know this time will be different and I want to just seize this moment.

It just struck me that I graduated from the Italian Lyceum (which would actually be a 13th grade, since we go to school for 13 years before going to university) exactly ten years ago, at the end of school year 1998 - 1999. I guess I'm much older than many of you...

Is 12th grade the last year of high school or something? Here we only number the grades up to the 9th (the last year of the so-called comprehensive school, after which one can go to various directions, one of which corresponds to high school). On the 9th grade, people are about 15 years old. Anyway. I'm trying to graduate from university. I don't have classes anymore, I just have to do one book exam and get my graduation thesis finished. My supervisor is currently reading my thesis and should give me his opinion about it next week. I'm hoping I don't have to do anything more to it because I'm tired of the whole thing and don't want to think about it. Within two months or so, I hope to be Master of Social Sciences. Then I get to begin job search. Oh yay. I actually just became Bachelor of Social Sciences. In the old university system here, it wasn't necessary to actually get the Bachelor's, you could just go on straight to Master's, and that's what I was going to do, until I figured out I wasn't going to graduate on time, as the old system stopped existing at the end of July. So I got out my Bachelor's, though I could have had that much earlier if I'd bothered. Anyway, now I have some title to write after my name if I need it. EDIT: And Martina, you aren't the only one who's older. I graduated from high school in 2001. Was 19 then. So I'm 26 now. I actually rather like this age, it sounds nice somehow. And I like myself at 26 much better than myself in my late teens or early 20s.

University, second year. I still have to figure out what exactly am I supposed to do this year, but in autumn I've got translating (German-Finnish), some quite random literature courses and hopefully the one obligatory course of Swedish we must do at some point of our studies. I'm also going to try Information Studies.

Hmm is 12th grade the equivalent to our S6?? How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?
