Ah, and "Cabaret" is also a MUST for next year!! Yeah, Pia we´re coming again.... Somehow, it's even more than a MUST... it's ... necessary to life. Pia was amaaaaazing as Sally Bowles the first time around, and with the Mendes production... it's going to be unbeatable. Eeeek!

I know the "run" on the stage door at musicals with Pia or Stanley for example but I didn´t expect anybody waiting at Hello Dolly (by the way we were there for Marleen.... My first dutch musical was actually in English: Fosse! It was fantastic to see Pia & Stanley dancing..

They even build the theater to the kitkat club, the seats in the front will be with small tables and small lamps.

I'm so jealous of you right now! I've heard nothing about that production of Hello Dolly. How did you find her performance in it? I know she's up for best supporting performance (alongside Pia...!), so she must be her usual excellent self?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Donmar Warehouse also had the club-type tables at the front when it ran there in 1994...

Marleen was excellent in Hello Dolly!! First time we saw her as "Anna" in "3 Musketiers" and since then we have to see her if possible in each role. And she´s such a loving person!! We even saw "The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde". Well, that was really kind of strange...

I can't believe you got to see her as Anna in 3 Musketiers - so lucky! Did you happen to see her as Milady, too?

No, I´m afraid I didn´t see Marleen as Milady I saw 3M twice in Rotterdam and I was so lucky to see both times Pia as Milady, Stanley as Richelieu, Bastiaan as d´Artagnan, Tooske as Constance and second time Marleen as Anna!! I can imagine that she was lovely as ELISABETH! I´m sad that I missed her & Jeroen in Tanz der Vampire in Vienna!!! If I could turn back time.....

I would like to have more informations about Hamelen what's the story, the cast please!! Hamelen is based an an old dutch TV Series from the 70's. You know the legend of the ratchater of Hamelen. If not, the legend is about a rat plague in the German city of Hamelen. The major of Hamelen says he give a big reward to anyone how delivers them from the rats. A strange man comes into town and says he can doe that. A he does it by playing on his flute. The next day all the rats are gone, but The major refuses to pay. So the next night the plays a mysterious tune on his flute, all the children of Hamelen are under a spell and following him into a mountan to be never seen again. That is were the legend stops. The TV-series started at that point. Only now the city time caller (named Hildebrand Brom) was sick and had his ears closed and together with the gatekeeper (named Arnoud Koffei) of Hamelen he follows the children. among those children are also the majors daughter (liedwientje walg) and her boyfriend (Bertram bierenbroodspot) . They come in a strange world with even stranger people. They come to a palace and meet princess Madeleine and she is going to have big game for the prince's and she is the big prize. eventually prince Tor won But there is also an evil ice witch (Wensela) who wants to rule this fantasy land. With her dream organ. But one pipe is missing, and that pipe come is hand of Bertram. So she must get that pipe. She got it and she freezes Tor and Bertram. But the warmth of the love from Liedwientje and Madeleine makes them to frost and the witch to melt. And by playing the right tune the open the gate to Hamelen. And they go home. I saw this musical and i must say that is was more a musical for children. There was a lot of humor in it and it was fun to watch. The first season cast was: Rene van Koten = Bertram Bierenbrootspot Chantal Jansen = Liedwientje Walg Kim Lian v.d. Mei= Princess Madeleine Danny Rook = Prince Tor Loekie knol= grown up Liedwientje (she tells the story to her daughter)Loekie also played the original Liedwientje in the TV series Job Schurings = Arnoud Koffei Ellis van Laarhoven = Wensela and every night they had an other group of children. I think the oldest were about 12, 13, 14 years old and the youngest about 4, 5 of 6 years old. The second and last season is just over, but the website is still online: www.vventertainment.nl/hamelen/There you can find the cast of the second season I hope i gave you enough information.
