Hey Stacy,
how are you? Just a few questions:
1. Have you ever seen a musical in the Netherlands, or do you want to?
2. What do you think about the Dutch language?
3. Are you going to see ´3 musketiers´ in Germany?
4. Did you already saw ´the Woman in White´? Did you like it? I did.
If you need information of musical in the Netherland or lyrcs, you can always ask me.
Hope to hear from you,
Martijn (from the Netherlands

Hi Martijn! Thanks for your post...here are the answers to your questions: 1. Have you ever seen a musical in the Netherlands, or do you want to? I haven't yet, but I definitely do want to! I've only been to the Netherlands once so far, and that was just to Amsterdam for a couple of days back in 2001, and I didn't see anything while I was there. I would have loved to see Pia Douwes in Passion! Hopefully I'll have the chance to visit there again soon. Oh dear, you're asking me? I am so terrible with languages. Well, to my very uneducated ear, it sounds very close to German, but softer. It is sometimes weird for me to hear things in Dutch that I'm used to hearing in German (like Elisabeth), but overall I really like listening to shows in Dutch! Sadly, no. I really want to, but circumstances just aren't going to allow for a trip to Berlin this year. If it is still running next year, I may be able to go, but I'll almost certainly miss this cast. Yup, I was at the very first performance! And I did like it quite a lot - there WILL be pages forthcoming for it, I swear, just haven't had a chance to get all my info together yet. Thanks! I will definitely take you up on that. Actually, I have been looking for the Dutch lyrics for Titanic and/or Passion....do you happen to have either of those? Stacy

Hey Stacy,
thanks for the answers. If you´re going to 3 musketiers next year you´ll miss Pia Douwes, because she´ll be playing Sally Bowles in Cabaret next year in Amsterdam.
I saw Pia in Passion and she was very good. You have to buy the Dutch cast recording.

Someone who knows, is there any website where I could listen to the songs of The 3 Musketiers? I love the story in general and it'd be nice to see the show, although I have no money to make two trips to Germany during one year... At least I could buy the recording, if there is one and if I like it.

You can whatch a making of video on the original German site: www.stageholding.de/20956.htm

Ok, thanks, martijn. This d**n computer didn't want to play the making-of video, but I'll try it later again.
God, Uwe Kroeger and Pia Douwes in one show? Should I rob a bank...

2. I love Dutch so much. I want to learn it someday Can you explain why you love Dutch. I think it would sound pretty strange to me when I´d speak English. If you have questions about Dutch production of if you want something translated I love would love to help you.

I've read (and heard) some of the Elisabeth lyrics in Dutch and it sounds... well, funny. ;D I sort of understand it, because I speak German and the words seem to be quite similar. I'd still like to speak Dutch, they just don't teach it in my school and that's a bit stupid, because learning just English, German and Swedish is quite boring in the long run. Okay, I love languages. But for me the main attraction in Dutch is the similarity to German.

Dutch is a very interesting language. I bought the Dutch recording of Rent and loved it. I think the language fits well with the music.

And I adore Caselyn Fransisco who played Joanne. She´s going to play Mary in the Dutch production of Jesus Christ Superstar, coming in November. Can´t wait.
