Well generally, I actually like it. Though "We dance all on our own" sounds kind of funny from an American English-speaking perspective. It implies "we don't need any help to dance" or something weird like that. It could work, though. "You can't make me a looser, but in the end -" ...that line is also rather strange. I just don't like the line "You can't make me a looser", but then it doesn't make sense. It should be "so in the end", or "and in the end", but "but in the end" is redundant because it's like he's agreeing with himself.

Annemieke...you're just as well off not seeing her, she doesn't have the presence and tends to screech her high notes. Funny, the opposite happens for me though since on the Felix CD, she didn't sound as good as she did live. Maybe is because what you can't get in the studio, you must have to see it live or just a matter of tastes of course. Ohh speaking of the Felix CD, its quite good though I started to literally laugh at the translations for "Final Dance" but overall, not bad. I love his "Rondo" though, !

I'm back and I took a listen to the CD. I knew I would regret... The CD is a tape above the commercial released playbacks...If you got "The Musicals of Kunze & Levay" from SoM, then you'll have the orchestrations of the CD. That was a disapointment. I must however say I was quite impressed by Felix's "Kein Kommen ohne gehen". He sounds great...he doesn't even sound Felix Der Letzte Tanz - doesn't sound as bad as I would thought, although I definitly don't like the way he freaks out in the end. Wenn Ich Tanzen Will - I personaly don't like it. Annemieke is very pretty, and sounds well but I really don't like Felix there. He sound very...unpassionated. Actuallty the song lacks a bit of that passion to me. Kein Kommen ohne gehen - Trully impressed. Its probably the only version of the song I like. I love Yuichiro's version, but I get irritated with Japanese very fast so I'm never able to hear the song many times. The first time I really like Felix on a recording. Die Schatten werden länger - Don't like it. Neither Felix nor Oliver. Actually I think Oliver's voice would suit Der Tod better...I am way to used of Jesper's version. The Final Dance - LOL. I listened to the song in my girlfriends laptop in Wien. I took quite some time to understand what the hell he was saying. My girlfriend felt over the Hotel's bed laughing. And then kept repeating "How about one last Tchance"? Honestly, there are nice parts if sung by a performer who can actually sing in english. To me the worse of worses is "You can't make me a loser, but in the end...I will win!". To finish this: according to my girlfriend the word on the first sentence is "treachery", wich was what I also understood. So that's two other votes for treachery

Plus Treachery makes more sense really. I agree with you on
"You can't make me a looser, but in the end...I will win!".
Maybe something a bit more like this would sound less cheesy.
"I may have lost the battle, but this war, I will win!"

Honestly, I haven't heard the song yet but I do really like the translation. Of course I don't know how it sounds to a native-speaker, but at least, they are very close to the German lyrics.

Plus Treachery makes more sense really. I agree with you on "You can't make me a looser, but in the end...I will win!". Btw, it's "loser", not "looser". But I agree with you that it's one of the less good lines that have me rolling my eyes. Someone should probably make a poll on whether it's treachery or tragedy or what.
