Hmm yes, makes sence as a metaphore. I thought it could have some speciall meaning in german, be some kind of expression. But apparently not, so the doors block does mean what I thought. Basicly "Forget it, you don't belong here. You'll just be hurting yourself. Get out."

With the " Nichts was ihr sagt..." I got the idea of the sentence but these two "ihr"'s confused me, wasn't sure were they meaning 'her' (referring to Rebecca) or 'You' (polite) or both. In fact, the first ihr is the plural form of you (the normal you, not the polite one), so I guess it refers to Ich and Maxim. The polite form would be Nichts, was Sie sagen und tun... both in singular and plural.

Actually, I think that the "ihr" is not just referring to Ich or Maxim, but to all people living and working in Manderley. Rebecca sees and hears everything

Just watched almost the whole original Vienna production on the internet on a-site-which-shall-not-be-named-here. ;-) Hint: search with words "Rebecca part one/two/three/etc..." :-)
