Yay! I love Japanese interpretation of shows and I hope "Tanz" is the same expectation as "Elisabeth" in Japan. Anyway, its comming in 2006 and its official.

I am praying with all my heart that it is not the Takarazuka that's doing it this time... they pretty much ruined "Elisabeth" for me.

It has been confirmed in 2006, the Toho company and my favorite Japanese actor Yuchiro Yamaguchi is playing Krolock ;D ;D! Link is here www.toho.co.jp/stage/vampire/welcome-j.html . The title is the same as the English version, "Dance Of The Vampires"( I translated it ).

Woohoo, Japanese official site for Tanz der Vampire!... not much there yet. Still not sure if I can see it though. Valjean87 do you read Japanese? Just curious! I want to see Yamaguchi as Krolock... but I'm going to see him as Valjean this year! ;D

Yamaguchi has became one of my favorites since "Phantom" as Raoul in 1989(rare CD), and as Erik in 1992. Also, as I heard(and there is a recording), of him as Der Tod in "Elisabeth".

Ah.. I figured you knew the language because you are probably more knowledgable about the Japanese theater than I am! Yes I'm hoping that my Aunt (who has been to the Japanese Elisabeth so many times this year) has that Elisabeth recording... I know that she has one of the Highlights CDs but don't know if it's the Yamaguchi one or not. Oh, and I'm going to get a Yamaguchi recording of 2003 Les Mis too, so I can send that to you when I get it, if you want.

I really hope I will be there to see it this summer... also hoping that they'll release a recording of the performance, maybe a live one!

I hope they release a recording with the new song Braver Than We Are from the Hamburg version. In fact, the new songs Die roten Stiefel and Stärker als wir sind were already in the Stuttgart production and luckily, they are both on the Polish cast recording that was released a week ago. ;D
