Aww, don't. It's not such a serious thing! Just know that I don't want to be equated with him. (I assume everyone knows this anyway and it therefore doesn't constitute offensive.)

Aww, don't. It's not such a serious thing! Just know that I don't want to be equated with him. (I assume everyone knows this anyway and it therefore doesn't constitute offensive.) You love me. You just don't want to admit it LOL I don't like Thomas as Krolock. I like him a lot in other roles. Not as Krolock. So what? Wanna fight about it *inducesitalian-americanaccent* However I don't see how my comment would be negative. I'd rather have him than Uwe! I would simply like that for once they had casted a fresh face! This is exactly the same I would feel if they kept casting Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman to play in PotO over and over and over and over and over and over again... they can be good in the roles but there are more people in the world... Sorry if I like to give new talents a chance Ms.Don't Touch my Thommy ( this is meant as a joke, hope you get it )

Hey now, I wasn't even the one who was complaining about your negative comment. I just said Thomas is, even if he's not your cup of tea, a better choice than the other big names they could have cast. I think it'd be great if they found someone unknown who'd turn out to be totally awesome in the role. But I didn't realistically expect them to go that route, so as I love Borchert in the role, I'm very happy with the result.
But I dearly hope this will be all the big-name casting they'll do and they won't cast Lukas and Marjan as Alfred and Sarah- Lukas did okay in the concert, but I don't see him as being good in the whole musical - they left out almost all of Alfred's comic parts in the concert and I don't think he'd be so good at those. And Marjan irritates me and she can't even be heard through Borchert unless you turn his mics to the minimum and hers to the maximum.

So...Tanz will be running from September 17th daily...EXCEPT on Wednesday.
Wednesday? It's normaly on Monday's...May this have something to do with the fact that Thomas will also be in St.Gallen and is day off the show is Tuesdays or Thursdays?

Or maybe there is no real reason for not playing the show on Wednesdays? Who knows

If that was the case it would be seriously cheaper for them to put on an ALT Krolock. That way they still get ticket sales for that day.

So far, the first two Ronacher shows have had a Thursday-Tuesday schedule, with Wednesdays off. So, it seems Tanz is following suit. Also remember that the Elisabeth revival also had this Thursday-Tuesday schedule at some point.

So basicly the Cast of the Revival will be the Concert Cast without Tim Reichwein... Cast List:Thomas Borchert - Krolock Marjan Shaki - Sarah Lukas Perman - Alfred, Gernot Kranner - Professor Abronsius James Sbano - Chagal (hurray for this one, he's my favourite Chagal! ;D ) Anna Thorén - Magda Katharina Dorian - Rebecca, Marc Liebisch - Herbert Thomas Weissengruber - Koukol www.musicalzentrale.de/

Gah, what were they thinking of? You can't hear Marjan through Thomas. Oh well, I'm glad I haven't bought any tickets yet. As much as I love Thomas and Gernot, I'm not making myself broke to get to see Lukas and Marjan again. I'll probably still see it if I can combine it with a Budapest trip... But now I'd be curious to know who the understudies will be.

I'm more upset about Lukas than Marjan, 'cause Lukas is the most boring and uninspired Alfred I've seen. Marjan, she evolved a lot between Romeo & Julia and Tanz in Concert so I'm expecting her to have evolved even more now. I'm curious about Marc Liebisch as Herbert, since I never heard of him.

I thought Lukas did fine in the 10th anniversary concert, much better than I expected at any rate, but since then I've become a lot more particular about my Alfreds and I'm not that enthused about him doing the role again when there'd be more fitting people for the part. I'm not convinced he'll be able to do the comic parts of the role well enough, the concert had almost none of those. As for Marjan, after being spoiled by the lovely Hungarian Sarahs I've no desire to hear her squeaking again. They can't make her heard through Borchert except by turning up her mic to the maximum and his to minimum, and that's just stupid.
But on the positive side, I'm super-happy about Kentaur's stage and costume designs. Having watched those a lot of times here in Budapest, the man is a genius. But I've always wished I could see those done with the VBW's budget. That will be amazing.

Aaah! Anna as Magda! That's terrific news. As much as I would have liked to see her in J&H or Pimpernel, I'm glad she's into something a little more high-profile again. And she's always been terrific as Magda, which helps, too

She's probably fine and I'll be glad to give her a chance to be great - I know little of her, but don't remember having any reason to dislike her - but didn't she play the role years ago already? That would have been such a great role for bringing in a fresh new talent, but noooo. I think it's a bit sad that only Herbert, Rebecca and Koukol don't already have that role in their resumé. Seriously there must be more talented actors available for musicals in Vienna so they don't need to rehash everyone?

I'm dying to see new faces! Although I am quite happy to have Borchert as Krolock - so I'll finally see him in a musical I don't understand why they don't give other actors the chance to play the leads. I guess there are lots of young actors who can easily compete with Marjan and Lukas.
